这个故事讲的是人与自然之间的一种强烈的联系。故事的主人公从小就向他的父亲学习了森林管理员的工作。奥尼克总是在与非法伐木者的斗争，而每当他无法阻止砍伐时，他就会陷入沮丧。有很多人试图贿赂他，或者用当地人的心态对他的家人施加压力。其他的森林管理员遭受了毒打，但奥尼克坚持自己的原则。他认为自己是自然之人。

This story is about a strong bond between man and nature, which started from childhood of our hero, who has learned the work of forest keeper from his father. Onik is always in a struggle with illegal tree cutters and whenever he doesn’t manage to prevent the cutting he falls into depression. There were many efforts to bribe him, or to pressure with the local mentality on his family members, other forest keepers were beaten, but Onik is firm in his principles. He considers himself Man of Nature.
